PETRONAS Sepang Racing Team to officially present its 2021 MotoGP teams by virtual launch on March 1
This year will see PETRONAS Sepang Racing Team unveil its 2021 MotoGP challenger and officially present its teams for this season in a virtual launch on March 1, at 10.30am CET (5.30pm GMT +8) on the team’s official YouTube channel, as well as being broadcast on MotoGP.com.
Taking centre stage will be the current MotoGP Vice-Champion Franco Morbidelli, who has been a member of the premier-class team since its inception in 2019, and new-signing Valentino Rossi, 9-times World Champion, to take the covers off their Yamaha YZR-M1 machines to reveal the 2021 livery. In addition to this, PETRONAS Sprinta Racing’s Moto2 representatives Xavi Vierge and Jake Dixon, plus Moto3 contenders John McPhee and Darryn Binder, will also be present during the virtual launch.
Having only been part of the premier class for two years, the Malaysian squad has already shown that they are a force to be reckoned with in the MotoGP paddock, frequently challenging the established order. Their impressive PETRONAS Yamaha Sepang Racing Team stats include back-to-back Independent Team and Independent Team Rider titles, 6 victories, 15 podiums and 12 pole positions.
